About Me
Hi! My name is Ella Stastney and I am a student at Biotechnology High School. In my school, I am in the Student Government Association as a Director of Student Activities (DOSA), where I help to run the information sessions and freshman orientation as well as create fun events. I also write articles for the school newspaper, The Helix. In my free time, I love to volunteer with environmental based organizations, like Citizens Climate Lobby, to help the climate by lobbying to pass bipartisan legislation. In addition, this spring I will be completing a mentorship with Clean Ocean Action on the Water Quality Team!
I created this website to share an easy-to-read and interesting guide about biodiversity. Something that has really captured my attention lately is the diversity of organisms around me - biodiversity. Though New Jersey is an extremely populated state, it is also extremely biodiverse. New Jersey is home to many native plant and animal species. In this website, I hope to share an educational guide of the different ecosystems of New Jersey, how everyone can help preserve biodiversity, and my own photo blog and articles I’ve written!
